Oct. 25, 2015 Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by Vice President, Joe Podesta. Officers present were Joe Podesta, Kevin Lilly, Roger Ward, and George Laverick. Two members were present in addition to the officers.

The minutes of the September 27, 2015 Executive Committee meeting were read by George Laverick and were accepted as read.

Treasurer's Report

The Treasurer's report was given by Roger Ward.

Range Report

The Executive Officer was not present to give a report. George Laverick reported that a new card sensor has been ordered to repair the get, but it has not yet been received.

Joe Podesta reported that he has about 150 lbs. of brass collected at the indoor range to take to recycling.

Armorer's Report

Kevin Lilly reported no change to the status of the Club's firearms.

Old Business

Plate Rack: No one had any new information to report.

Range Officers: A calendar is up and running on the website for the Range Officers to sign in and schedule their time at the range. Several have already used it. Some of the Range Officers reported that they were unable to get into the Connex so George Laverick replaced the lock on the Connex.

Jim Shaver pointed out that the calendar does not automatically return to the monthly view after the RO updates it. George Laverick will add instructions on the website to return it to the normal monthly view.

Sign-In Logs: The revised logs and waiver forms are being used, and people seem to be filling them out more correctly.

Fence: No new information.

Budget: Kevin Lilly asked if it is necessary to request approval from the Executive Committee before spending money allocated in the budget. The Committee agreed that as long as it is for budgeted items, and is not an unusually large amount, additional approval is not required.

New Business

George Laverick noted that he will be sending out renewal notices early in November.

A discussion was held about the condition of the outdoor range.

Kevin Lilly announced that the FONRA banquet is tentatively scheduled for March 11, 2016. The location has not yet been set.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:28PM.

Jim Detwiler is still looking for at least one more person to help him run IDPA matches. If you are interested, email Jim at (or call the Secretary and I will put you in touch with Jim).

Renewal notices will be emailed to members the week of November 9. Remember, no renewals will be accepted without a passport style picture for your new membership card (if your picture is on file with the Club, you do NOT need another one). I will be at the left pistol range from 9:00AM until 11:30AM on Saturday, November 14. I can take your picture then or at the next Executive Committee meeting. You can also get pictures taken at any CVS or Walgreens (for a price). You can also scan the picture on your Drivers License and email it to me as a jpeg file.

If you would be interested in becoming an office of the club for 2016, please let me know. We will be taking nominations at the November and December meetings.

The next Executive Committee meeting will be at 7:00PM on November 22, 2015 at the ADPS Indoor Range, 240 Dupont Drive, Aiken, SC.

Respectfully submitted,

George Laverick
