Sept. 27, 2015 Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by President, Jim Samsel. Officers present were Jim Samsel, Joe Podesta, Kevin Lilly, and George Laverick. Three members were present in addition to the officers.

The minutes of the August 23, 2015 Executive Committee meeting were read by George Laverick and were accepted as read.

Treasurer's Report

The Treasurer was not present so no report was given.

Range Report

The Executive Officer was not present to give a report.

Armorer's Report

The Garand has been tested with the new op-rod and is working perfectly..

Old Business

Plate Rack: Dave Eggenberger has been working overtime and has had limited time to work on the plate rack. Todd Dabbs stopped by and said he would try to help as time permits.

Range Officers: Jim Samsel reported that Daniel Wood has also had work conflicts so has not worked on scheduling Range Officers. George Laverick will put a calendar on the website where the Range Officers can schedule their time at the range. George Laverick will design a report form for the Range Officers.

Sign-In Logs: The sign-in logs are being used, but they are not being filled in correctly. George Laverick will redesign the sign-in logs to clarify the difference between the Guest and Member sign-ins.

The waiver forms will also be redesigned to add dates next to signatures and to clarify the Guest and Member areas of the form to correct confusion.

The Executive Committee agreed to allow non-members who shoot in the Small Bore Silhouette matches to sign the waiver annually instead of at every visit provided that the Match Director keeps a record of those waivers and indicates "on file" in the sign-in log at each match.

Fence: Jim Samsel is waiting for the leaves to fall so that he can mark a straight clearing line for contractors to bid on.

New Business

George Laverick presented the drafts of the Renewal Notice and Renewal Form for 2016 to the Executive Committee. Primary changes were addition of the requirement for pictures for id badges and inclusion of the Waiver of Liability to meet the requirement that members sign the waiver annually. The Executive Committee approved the forms.

Someone has been lead mining the berms on the pistol ranges. This damages the berms and is absolutely forbidden.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:44PM.

The next Executive Committee meeting will be at 7:00PM on October 25, 2015 at the ADPS Indoor Range, 240 Dupont Drive, Aiken, SC.

Respectfully submitted,

George Laverick
