July 24, 2011 Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

*Meeting called to order at 7:07 p.m. by President-Jim Samsel at Ryan's in
Aiken. Officers present were Jim Samsel, Joe Podesto, George Laverick, Mike Johnson,
and Kevin Lilly. Recognized a total of 4 visitors.

*Treasurer's report was not available at this meeting. Approximately 162 members
at this time.

*Armorer's report provided by Mike-5 (M-1's) and 5 (22's) available for use by
Club members.

*Executive Officer Range Report by George: George and Terry Overstreet performed
some housekeeping around the
ranges, thanks George and Terry. Overall the ranges are in pretty good shape.

*Secretary report, the Annual meeting summary minutes were accepted as written,
thanks George.

*Old Business:

Membership survey is still in committee, comments for additional
input from the Board. Request from "Oath Keepers" requesting information
about range use. (no interest expressed from the Board at this time).

Member Jerry O'Conner has requested to "Mine Lead" from the pistol ranges and
was not present for additional questions and answers (tabled until more information
is available).

*New Business:

Repeated questions about long term plans at the Range. Such as:
Extend Rifle range, Card reader gate at entrance, Training/Classroom
area, Trap/Skeet range possibility, etc. It was agreed that these questions
or interest in these improvement be added to membership survey before distribution.

George made motion to accept proposed 2012 Renewal form, second by Joe,

Jim made recommendation to include copy of Range Rules with 2012 Renewal form
with any changes that have occurred, for members to review, sign and return with
annual dues. Theseforms will be sent out in November by email or U.S. Mail.

Joe made motion to change Range Rule to include 50 mile Radius, second by
Kevin, All-In-Favor.

Mike asked about adding Interim Midway Berm on ranges to ensure "No escaped
rounds", discussion for additional information, input from others, and
impact studies. Tabled for additional information at a later time.

New member: Voted to accept 1 new member at the meeting. All-in-Favor.

Multiple Club members have offered help with restoring additional Shooting
disiplines, Training, or anything to benefit
the membership and Range. Many thanks and we will keep you posted as these
come together.

Meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m., motion by George, second by Joe, all approved
